The Society for the Restoration of Port Tobacco presents: The Ninth Annual Market Day (rain date: May 19, 2018)
Location:  Port Tobacco Courthouse, 8450 Commerce St, Port Tobacco

Time:  9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Free Admission 

Market Day will showcase some of Southern Maryland’s local artists, vintage items and vendors. Vendor spaces available: $40 for 1; $70 for 2; $90 for 3 - you provide the tables. The Charles County Garden Club will hold their annual plant sale. Visit the plant sale for locally grown flowering plants, shrubs, and ground covers.  Sale of gently used gardening items will be featured. 

Food, baked goods, and drinks will be available for purchase. Live entertainment features Rick Posey and Mary Mosher, appearing in colonial costume and playing period music, singer/songwriter, Chris Dudley, the Port Tobacco Pickers and Bill Hones

Port Tobacco Historic Village Tours will be available at Stagg Hall, Courthouse and Burch House (Catslide). A special activity at Stagg Hall features Bags, Baskets, Pockets and Pouches. Demonstration of items the Colonists may have taken with them to a Market and to carry their goods. Children may decorate a bag to take home. During normal operating hours the Stagg Hall staff can be reached at 301-392-3418 or email HistoricDistrict@charlescountymd.gov. Tours will also be available at the Port Tobacco One-Room School House (7215 Chapel Point Rd), donations appreciated.
