Public Notice - ZMA #13-48
Notice is hereby given that the Charles County Planning Commission will conduct a Public Meeting on proposed Zoning Map Amendment #13-48 (Washington Glen – Walton Maryland, LLC) at their regularly scheduled meeting on June 22, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., in the County Commissioner’s Meeting Room located in the Charles County Government Building, La Plata, Maryland.
The Petitioner, Walton Maryland, LLC is requesting a zoning change from Rural Conservation Deferred Development RC(D) to Medium Density Residential (RM) for a 136.63 acre property on the south side of Billingsley Road in White Plains, Maryland, which lies approximately 1.25 miles west of the intersection of Billingsley Road and US Route 301 and approximately 1000’ west of the Development District zoning boundary. The subject property is identified as Parcel 282 within Grid 16 on Tax Map 14. The request is based upon the Petitioner’s belief that a substantial change in the character of the neighborhood has occurred since the Rural Conservation Deferred Development RC(D) zone was placed on the subject parcel as part of the Comprehensive Rezoning of Charles County.
Citizens wishing to make oral or written comments are encouraged to attend the meeting.
