Charles County, Maryland

Citizens' Liaison Office

Citizens' Liaison Office

The Citizens’ Liaison Office for Charles County government was established in January of 2011.  The purpose of the office is to streamline communications and respond in a timely and effective manner to telephone calls, emails, and letters from the citizens to the County Commissioners.

The directives issued by the County Commissioners include having a Director of the Office who will be responsible for effectively communicating County issues and resolving the concerns of residents.

More than 9,000 communications have been addressed by the Citizens’ Liaison Office since it was established in 2011. Each request is a challenge and carries with it the concerns of citizens who deserve no less than the full attention of their government.
