Charles County Government Offices Closing at 2 p.m. on Jan. 8

Due to anticipated inclement weather, Charles County Government administrative offices will close at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 8.  Essential personnel are to report to work or continue their shift as scheduled.
 
Also, the following facilities will be closing at 2 p.m. today:
• Tri-County Animal Shelter (6707 Animal Shelter Road, Hughesville)
• The Landfill, all Recycling Centers, and Piney Church Road Mulch Facility
• Crain Memorial Welcome Center (12480 Crain Highway, Newburg)
• All school-based community centers 
• Lackey High School, Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center, and North Point High School indoor pools.
• Elite Gymnastics and Recreation Center
• Port Tobacco Recreation Center
• Nanjemoy Community Center
• All senior centers
• The Charles County Department of Health (4545 Crain Highway, White Plains)
• Charles County Circuit Court
• Charles County Public Library, all branches
 
The following facilities will be closing at 3 p.m. today:
• Port Tobacco location of Alphabest Child Care will close at 3 p.m.
