Commissioner-Appointed Board, Committee, and Commission Vacancies Open

The Charles County Commissioners are seeking county residents who want to get involved in their community to fill vacancies on several boards, committees, and commissions. No experience required.

The Board of Appeals hears appeals of the zoning and land use decisions of the County Government, requests for approval of special exceptions, and requests for approval of variances. Application deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 28. 

The Historic Preservation Commission recommends properties for local historic landmark designation, review exterior changes to locally designated landmarks, and support documentation of historic resources throughout Charles County.
