County Government Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Unavailable June 27 – 28

Charles County Government would like to notify residents that the following electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 27 through Thursday, June 28, while the charging equipment is being replaced:

  • P.D. Brown Library (50 Village St, Waldorf)
  • Potomac Branch Library (3225 Ruth B Swann Dr, Indian Head)
  • Crain Memorial Welcome Center (12480 Crain Hwy, Newburg)

The existing EV charging stations at these locations, installed in 2012, will be replaced and upgraded with new ChargePoint CT4000 Level 2 EV Charging Stations. The CT4000 units are equipped with two level 2 ports for faster charging sessions. ChargePoint is the largest and most open electric vehicle charging network in the world, with more than 49,900 charging locations.
