NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE WALDORF VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC.

Notice is hereby given that the County Commissioners of Charles County, Maryland (the "County") will hold a public hearing in the County Commissioners Meeting Room, Charles County Government Building, LaPlata, Maryland at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) on March 5, 2019 concerning the proposed issuance by the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., a Maryland not-for-profit corporation (the "WVFD"), not to exceed Six Hundred Seventy Five Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($675,000.00) in aggregate principal amount of its bonds, notes, or other obligations.

Project and Location: The proceeds from the sale of such bonds will finance or refinance the loan pertaining to the acquisition and equipment of a 2019 Pierce Enforcer 1500 GPM class A Pumper which will replace a 2004 Class A Pumper that has met its service expectancy limits and which equipment will be located at the WVFD located at 3245 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20602 (the “Project”).

The issuance of such bonds by the WVFD will not constitute a debt or pledge of the faith and credit of the State of Maryland or Charles County and neither the faith and credit nor the taxing power of the State of Maryland or any political subdivision thereof, including Charles County, will be pledged to the payment of such bonds.

Initial Owner and Principal User: The Projects will be owned by the WVFD and used by the WVFD in providing firefighting services to areas of Charles County.
