Public Notice: Saturday Mulch Loading Temporarily Unavailable:
Due to limited mulch availability resulting from equipment issues, mulch loading will not be available on Saturdays until further notice.
Upcoming Closures:
In observance of the following holidays, the Charles County Landfill, all recycling centers, and the Piney Church Road Mulch Facility will be closed:
- Monday, September 7 - Labor Day
- Wednesday, November 11 - Veteran's Day
Breeze Farm Recycling Center
Amenities:- Recycling Center
- Self-serve Free Mulch
- Tag-A-Bag Facility
- Used Motor Oil and Antifreeze Collection Site
- Yard Waste Drop-off
- Recycling Centers
Recycling Centers Accept:
- Residential amounts of recyclable materials
- Generated within Charles County
Not permitted:
- Stake body or box trucks
- DOT registered vehicles
There is a 10 bag limit for yard waste drop off. Breeze Farm is also a self-serve free mulch facility while supplies last. Residents must bring a pitchfork or shovel to load themselves.

- Transmission Fluid
- Gear Oil
- Hydraulic Oil
- Power Steering Fluid

The Landfill, Mulch Facility & Recycling Centers are CLOSED for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Dr. MLK Jr.’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
