The Charles County Holiday Trail opens Saturday, December 1, and continues on Sunday, December 2, 2018. 
Comprising the area’s leading historical sites and arts venues. Sites on this year’s trail include: The African American Heritage Society Heritage House, Christ Episcopal Church, La Plata, Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum, Historic Friendship House, Maryland Veterans Museum at Patriot Park, Mt. Aventine, Port Tobacco One-Room School, Port Tobacco Village Complex: Burch House, Stagg Hall, Port Tobacco Courthouse, Serenity Farm, St. Ignatius Church/St. Thomas Manor, Smallwood Retreat House, Mattawoman Creek Art Center and the Thomas Stone National Historic Site.

All sites are family friendly, inexpensive, or free to visit. Over the weekend you will find something for everyone: music performances, house tours, living nativity scenes, greens demonstrations, crafts for children, shopping, and more.
