OLD BUSINESS

  1. License Counts as of this month are as follows:

Masters license: 1617

  • General- 1258: 608 Active, 3 Deceased, 597 Expired and 50 Inactive.
  • Restricted Master- 160: 88 Active, 0 Deceased, 66 Expired and 6 Inactive.
  • Expired without license type listed: 200.

Journeyman license: 1852

  • 743 Active, 2 Deceased and 1107 Expired.

Homeowner’s permit: 140 with no active licenses.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Approval of one (1) exam applicant.
  2. Low Voltage exam was discussed and will need to be provided prior to the September exam.
  3. Hearings of Journeyman renewal applicants with concerns they may be acting as contractors requested to attend meeting.  Of those who did attend this meeting and or sent information to clear any and all concerns the following decisions were voted on and passed:
    1. Jose Alvaro Romero- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
    2. Kevin Cox- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
    3. Bertram Brown- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
    4. Luis Beneitez- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
    5. Jerrold Janschek- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
    6. Thomas Newcomb- Given warning with license to be reinstated immediately. Sue to return expired check for new check and application.
  4. Any and all of the Journeyman renewal applications with concerns they may be acting as contractors  sent certified letters to attend the July 17, 2013 and or the August 21, 2013 meeting that did not make any attempt to either provide documentation or  attend either meeting will have their licenses suspended  for 1 year. After the 1 year suspension they are at that time eligible to take our Jouneyman exam (September 2014).  This decision was determined by a vote of the Board members with all in favor and none opposed.
