                                  CHARLES COUNTY ETHICS COMMISSION

                               Charles County Attorney Conference Room

                                                May 31, 2017

           MEMBERS PRESENT:

         Rev. Robert Charles Buehler, Chairman

         Stephen Fitzgerald, Esquire

         Henry Collins, Jr.

         William Purnell

         Connie Celesine                                                         

        OTHERS PRESENT:  Rhonda Weaver, County Attorney, Counsel to the Commission, Melody Weschler, Clerk to the Commission.

        CALL TO ORDER FOR SESSION:

        The meeting was called to order by Chairman Buehler at 6:04 p.m.

       OLD BUSINESS: 

       Minutes: 

       Noting one change in the minutes of November 30, 2016, a motion was made by Mr. Fitzgerald to approve the November 30, 2016,

       open meeting minutes, seconded by Mr. Purnell, unanimously carried.

      NEW BUSINESS: 

      The Commission reviewed all Financial Disclosure forms for 2016.

      The Commission reviewed Lobbyist Registration Forms for:

      G. Macy Nelson, LLC

      Kevin P. Kennedy, Larry Gordon, William Gordon, Nikola Vujcic

       Of Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, PA

      Boaz-Young-El

      Moira Moynihan, Alexander Cleaver, PA

      Janet Black, Rifkin, Weiner, Livingston, LLC

     Theresa Kuhms, Southern Maryland Association of Realtors

     CLOSED SESSION:

     A motion was made by Mr. Fitzgerald to go into closed session, seconded by Mr. Collins, unanimously carried.

     The Commission went into closed session at 7:12 p.m. in accordance with General Provisions Article §3-305(b)

     to discuss: (1) The appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal,

     resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom this public body has jurisdiction;

     or any other personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals and (7) To consult with counsel to obtain

     legal advice on a legal matter.

     At 7:35 p.m. a motion was made by Mr. Fitzgerald to go back into open session, seconded by Mr. Purnell, unanimously carried. 

     ADJOURNMENT: With no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
