Administrative Business:

  • Approval of August 2017 drafted meeting minutes. Willie Zapata motioned to approve meeting minutes as written.  Seconded by Thomas Wathen. All in favor. None opposed.
  • Board member update:  Frank Ward’s replacement has not been named.  Reed Faasen will attend until a decision is made.

New Business:

  1. Pertaining to our concerns with the State Legislative Committee:
  • We have received no updates this month.
  1. Journeyman exam provided for seventeen applicants. Twelve taken five no show.

Three received passing grades and Journeyman licenses.

  1. Journeyman with applications that have been provided to renew with Journeyman signature on business checks will be invited to the August meeting.   Secretary provided letters to the Journeyman applicants requesting their attendance.  Neither attended the meeting.  Documents were provide and given to the Board.
  • No further action taken as no response from Mr. Coronado.
  • Sue to return application and fees.
  1. Master Restricted exam provided for:
  • Eron Montague/ Restricted Master
  1. We have received NEC 2017 Code book and Handbook.
  2. Thomas Raliegh – Homeowner exam graded by Willie Zapata.  Exam approved for Homeowners Permit.
  3. Complaint received from DLLR for Timothy Eddings, Master #1914.  Sue to contact DLLR and complainant to see if any progression in resolution has taken place.  We will set up a hearing with the complainant and the Master if this has not been resolved.
  4. Exam application to be updated.  Sue to begin the process.

Motion made by Thomas Wathen to adjourn the meeting at 4:54 PM. Seconded by Willie Zapata.  All in favor. None opposed.

Note Members and Staff remained to complete examinations ending at 8 PM.

Next meeting will be October 18, 2017.
