The Charles County Government Information Technology (IT) division's primary responsibility is the acquisition, design, development, maintenance and enhancement of technology infrastructure, applications, and  telecommunications in support of County Government operations and services to Charles County citizens.

 2019 Digital Counties Survey Winner

For the 17th consecutive year, Charles County's FAS Information Technology division has been named one of the Nation’s Most Digitally Advanced Counties. The Center for Digital Government's 2019 Digital Counties Survey commends counties that deploy innovative technology practices.

The Center for Digital Government (CDG) and the National Association of Counties (NACo) have selected Charles County as one of the nation’s 2019 Most Digitally Advanced Counties in the 150,000 – 249,999 population category.

The survey, conducted by CDG in partnership with NACo, identifies the best technology practices among U.S. counties, including initiatives that save tax dollars through newfound efficiencies; boost transparency, cybersecurity and engagement; or innovate through unique and exciting projects.
