 The Charles County Commissioners adopted on May 6, 2025 Resolution No. 2025-06 establishing a Compensation Commission, consisting of five members of the public, to set compensation to the Board of County Commissioners (incoming Commissioners effective December 1, 2026), Board of Appeals, Board of Electrical Examiners, Board of License Commissioners (Liquor Board), Planning Commission, Police Accountability Board, Administrative Charging Committee, Animal Matters Hearing Board, Nuisance Abatement Hearing Board and Charles County Orphans’ Court Judges.  The Compensation Commission may recommend an increase or decrease in compensation, but in no event shall compensation be less than already provided.  The Compensation Commission’s report shall be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners no later than December 1, 2025.
