Meetings take place in the “Blue Room” of the Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland. Seating is limited.

Register to Speak Virtually (by Phone)

To sign up to speak by phone at a Planning Commission meeting, complete the Speaker Registration Form.

• Registration must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting.
• A separate registration form is required for each agenda item you wish to address.

Register to Speak In Person

To speak in person, use the sign‑up sheets available in the meeting room beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the night of the meeting. Sign‑up remains open until the agenda item is called.

Written Comment Deadlines

Unless otherwise noted, written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. the Friday before the Planning Commission meeting. If the Public Hearing record remains open, the comment period will be extended and a new deadline will be announced.

Instructions for Submitting Public Comment on Open Record Items

1. Select the “Public Comment” option.
2. From the Agenda Item dropdown menu, select “Open Record Item – Please Choose From Dropdown Menu Below.” (A new dropdown menu will appear.)
3. Select the appropriate open record item from the new dropdown list.
4. Complete all required fields and attach a document if desired.
5. Enter your email address if you would like a confirmation copy.
6. Complete the CAPTCHA and select “Submit.”
