Request a Review or Change to Your Order 

You can request a review to modify your child support order:

• Every 3 years, or
• When your situation changes

Examples of changes include:

• Changes in income
• Incarceration
• Changes in child care costs
• Changes in health care costs
• Changes in transportation costs for visits
• A change in custody
• Changes in the child's financial needs

If You Do Not Pay Through the Maryland Child Support Administration

File a Request to Change Your Child Support Order

To request a change, follow these steps:

1. Review the instructions
   • Read the Petition/Motion to Modify Child Support Instructions for Completing CC-DR 6 
2. Complete the required forms
   • Fill out the Motion to Modify Child Support (CC-DR-006)
   • Complete the Financial Statement (Child Support Guidelines) (CC-DR-030)
3. File your forms
   • Submit your completed forms at the Clerk's Office located at 200 Charles Street, La Plata, Maryland 20646
   • You can also pick up paper copies of these same forms at the Clerk's Office
