Welcome to Charles County Family Recovery Court

The Family Court Court (FRC) was established in 2010. It is a voluntary, four-phase program that helps families affected by substance use disorders. 

The program provides treatment, support, and accountability to help parents improve their well-being and support their children through recovery. 

The FRC team includes:

  • A judge
  • Assistant Attorney General for the Charles County Department of Social Services
  • Public Defender
  • Court Appointed Special Advocate
  • Drug Court Coordinator
  • Family Recovery Court Case Manager
  • Probation Officer
  • Peer Recovery Coach
  • Treatment Provider

The FRC team works to ensure participants can access the services they need to:

  • Achieve and maintain sobriety
  • Build skills to support their children and family
