Family Recovery Court
Welcome to Charles County Family Recovery Court
The Family Court Court (FRC) was established in 2010. It is a voluntary, four-phase program that helps families affected by substance use disorders.
The program provides treatment, support, and accountability to help parents improve their well-being and support their children through recovery.
The FRC team includes:
- A judge
- Assistant Attorney General for the Charles County Department of Social Services
- Public Defender
- Court Appointed Special Advocate
- Drug Court Coordinator
- Family Recovery Court Case Manager
- Probation Officer
- Peer Recovery Coach
- Treatment Provider
The FRC team works to ensure participants can access the services they need to:
- Achieve and maintain sobriety
- Build skills to support their children and family
