Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, the Charles County Board of Elections will be working by appointment only. If you need to make any changes to your record or request an absentee ballot, please call or email us at 301-934-8972 or and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

At the October 10, 2019 at 9 a.m. meeting, the Charles County Board of Elections Supervisors approved to change the early voting site from La Plata Firehouse to Sacred Heart Church Friendship Hall. 

At the State Board of Elections board meeting held on October 31, 2019 at 2:30 pm, the State Board of Elections unanimously approved the early voting site change from La Plata Firehouse to Sacred Heart Church Friendship Hall.

We, Charles County Board of Elections recently completed, in partnership with The State Board of Elections and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a poster showing how we protect the election process, systems and data (PDF). We hope that this information is useful and assures you that Maryland and Charles County’s election officials are serious about protecting our election systems and data and voters can be confident about the integrity of the election process.
