Make the Family Life Center the location for your next function.  Whether you are planning a wedding reception, conference, business meeting or luncheon, we can offer you the right room at the right price.  The Family Life Center is conveniently located in the heart of Waldorf on Route 228, approximately 1 mile west of the Route 301/5/228 intersection.  The Family Life Center is a state-of-the-art facility, which features a 300 seating capacity banquet room, along with a full-size commercial kitchen.  Your out-of-town guests will have easy access to local hotels, restaurants, and area shopping. Our staff will assist you in making your event a memorable one.

Banquet Hall

Our center has been elegantly designed with the express purpose of offering our guests an attractive, comfortable place to entertain their guests at an affordable price.

Enter the building via your private covered entryway into the granite-tiled foyer, which is embellished with a beautiful 4-foot chandelier.  Beyond the foyer you will find the luxuriously carpeted banquet hall.  Nine ceiling fans work to keep the air-conditioned room’s air in constant circulation.  The windows are professionally dressed with exquisitely designed fabric treatments to match the floral carpet pattern.  The 6-foot round tables can be arranged to your preference.  Dishes and table cloths are provided by the caterer for renters.  Private restrooms, coat closets, and drinking fountains are conveniently located next to the foyer.  The tables/chairs will be set up to your layout plans.  You may decorate according to your own style and preferences.

Price: $1,350 with a $100 deposit to hold it and a $200 non-refundable security deposit. There is only one event per day, and renters must exit by 10 pm. There are no Sunday rentals. A $100 deposit is due at the contract signing to reserve the room; some discounts are available for week events.

Front Sanctuary

Rent the chapel for concerts, awards programs, weddings, or funerals. Cost is $1000 per event, which includes a sound man to run our equipment.  A $100 deposit is due at the contract signing to reserve the room, as well as a $200 security deposit.  It seats a maximum of 350 people. The fee includes two hours for the wedding rehearsal and three hours for the wedding with your own minister. One of our pastors may be available for the service, with fees at their discretion.

Gymnasium Rental

The university-size gymnasium may be rented for an hourly or full-day fee.  Retractable bleachers, scoreboards, up to 10 basketball goals, and a divider curtain are included.  The gym is a great place for sporting events, concerts, tournaments, craft shows, and any number of special activities that require a large space.

Gym rentals are very limited, and space is usually available during the summer months only.  Cost is per event, as agreed upon for half- or full-day use.  The per hour fee is $60, but subject to change.  No Sunday rentals.


The use of alcoholic beverages is limited to one champagne/wine toast.  Any other use of alcoholic beverages is forbidden.
