Mattingly Park Ramp

The boat ramp is maintained by the Town of Indian Head and is part of the Mattingly Park. It is popular with bass boaters and small boat owners. The boat ramp has restrooms, picnic tables, and trails. Parking is available for 15 vehicles. Fee is $5 at ramp-side honor box. The site is an access point for a kayak trail south along the Mattawoman Creek to Smallwood State Park, approximately 4.5 miles.  Mattingly Park Ramp was formerly known as Slavens Ramp. 

Directions:  Follow Indian Head Highway, (Rt. 210), south and turn left onto Mattingly Avenue just before the naval base gates.  The ramp is at the end of the road.
