On Tuesday, Jan. 22 during their public forum, the Charles County Commissioners helped the members of seven local Girl Scout troops earn an “Inside Government” badge.  To earn their badge, these Girl Scouts were challenged to think about government issues that matter to them and to become active citizens in their governments.

“It is exciting to see our youth taking part in local government.  We were pleased to be able to help them achieve this milestone,” said Commissioner President Candice Quinn Kelly.

Participating Girl Scout troops included: Troop 3884, Troop 1985, Troop 2610, Troop 2469, Troop 3035 and Troop 4202.
